About Us

My Uncle owns and operates High Desert Wagyu and It all started with a simple question:

he asked me, “Do you want some Wagyu fat? Otherwise, I’m just going to throw it out.”

I didn’t know much about tallow at the time, but it felt wrong to waste something so natural, so valuable- and so full of history.

That first batch of fat became my introduction to tallow: a traditional, time-honored fat that our ancestors used for everything from cooking to skincare. I rendered it myself, learned the process and began using it at home. What started as an experiment quickly became a passion.

We live in a world that is rediscovering the wisdom of natural, whole ingredients-and tallow is at the heart of that return. Whether it’s nourishing skin, fueling a recipe, or supporting a no-waste lifestyle, tallow is a powerful reminder that nothing needs to be wasted.

What I love most about these products is knowing exactly what’s in them. No long list of unpronounceable ingredients. No synthetic fragrances. No harsh chemicals or toxins. Just simple, pure, real ingredients.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does your tallow come from?

It comes from High Desert Wagyu Beef, owned and operated by my uncle. When he slaughters the beef, he gives me the fat.

What is in your soap?

Tallow, lye, distilled water, and essential oils.

What can I use the soap for?

You can use it for anything. While it is not designed to be a shampoo bar, people have used it in their hair and have liked the results. It has been used as shaving cream and body wash. Or you can simply use it as hand soap.

Do you sell other products?

Yes, currently I have lip balm and a variety of tallow face cream. I am always working to add more wonderful products to the inventory.

Where do you ship to?

Anywhere in the United States!
